I am going to end up in debt because you keep adding cards!! They are fabulous! When I worked in the same building in downtown Houston for 20 years, it had a mall and of course a HALLMARK! I was in there all the time. They knew me by first name and…

Dear Sharon, Our Google analytics does not break down where the people are looking. But, I think a few people are getting more customers. There is really nothing else you or I can do to generate sales, except to join the new group that was formed to feature an artist. We are still trying to add more groups that can feature people who do "paper arts", "jewelry designs", and whatever else anyone is interest in. It takes time for these pages to really take effect and get lots of members and promoting the page is important. You cannot place our badge or information on your Etsy site, because I have one too and it doesn't work. So, if you have a "blog", or a Facebook page, lots of traffic is generated from those places. You can post a BLOG on the front page and ask who is interested in posting your website on their page. If they have their own website or blog they can do this with little trouble. Usually, they want you to do the same for them, but with Etsy it is impossible. I personally started a blog separately from this pge on "blogspot" but God only knows how far I got on it because I have been so busy working my different stores on-line, and making new jewelry that is stacking up to be photographed. You could offer to donate one of your greating cards "possibly an all occasion card" or the three pack I bought, to be a prize to the women who are doing the group regarding the Featured Artist (cannot remember the name I am so tired) group. This gives you exposure and your work is excellent, I have already figured out that I will be buying from you more once I get myself more stable in my situation juggling all the plates in the air. Do you have a Twitter account? It is easy and if I can do it anyone can. Are you on Artfire too? I don't remember. Artfire already has a feed to Twitter where you can just click on one of your photos and then hit the Twitter button and it features your card. Twitter is really a great way to promote yourself too. Or you can do a "tweet" that says "check out my handmade greeting cards at" and either put your etsy address or this one. Your direct address at this site is: http://artisanjewelrydesigners.ning.com./profile/Sharon R. Menzel
I have tried to make it a point to twitter our page address several times a day. I have been doing very little self promoting and need to get to that. For us, this technology is a bit overwhelming, but if i can do it so can you. I did want to tell you I bought some cards from your daughter today. I think it is awesome that you two promote each other's sites. I know you said she was closing her site, so I thought I would help her a little! Pretty soon all my greeting cards will not have Hallmark on the back! As I think of things to help you, I will let you know. Actually, you might be able to put in your shop statement on Etsy something like I am also featured on: and put the website for this page with your profile name as I typed before. I don't know what etsy can do about that! But I think I am going to try it too.
You could run yourself a small BLOG on the front page of this site and give members of the page a 10% discount for a week. Or, just say stop by my Etsy shop and check out my cards - they are approved by our site owner and cheaper than Hallmark! Of have people come by your page and list for a free drawing of that 3 card pack -- you need to make the incentive to get them to your page more than just one card. But, don't give stuff away if this does not generate interest. OK? Do it once, if it works great, if it doesn't we can think about something else to do. I think adding more pictures of your cards to the photos is a good idea right now while we are way below our maximum number. Put up to 20 things on here. You have great cards, they are colorful and made well. I need to start something where when I purchase from someone on this site I can go back and put a gold star on your page or others pages giving my stamp of approval! Like I carry a lot of weight, except in my body! HA!
Anyway, that's all I can come up with right now, but I will keep working on it with you just as I need to try to promote my work.
Hope this helps you. I want all of us to succeed at our businesses and increase our sales. So you can be sure that little by little we are going to get more members and that will generate more groups and more programs to promote. At least that is MY mission and my vision! Hang in there with us a little longer. I think the best is yet to come! Warmest regards, Sharon
